I used resolume to create the live video and Vegas to add the music to this performance piece. For my live set I decided to slow the viewers down. We race through life. I’m not even sure who we are racing. Mostly it’s the person in the car next to us even if they don’t know it. The music I chose is from “Stomp” and is fast paced, yet the images change slowly. I have decided to force people to slow down even if it is only for a few minutes. The facts music and images of driving make the viewer expect constant changes in the images. I feel that by not changing the images as much, the viewer may feel a bit uncomfortable and become impatient for the images to change. This is my purpose. This is when the viewer can see how fast we all move and think maybe its time for us to slow down and enjoy life.
